ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Future Fit Project is an initiative that is dedicated to providing the necessary skills to aid underprivileged children, especially those living in orphanages and on the streets, in securing stable income sources. In Ghana, orphanages depend solely on donations from individuals and groups, as well as contributions from their owners, to support the children under their care. Future Fit aims to fill this gap by assisting orphanages in establishing their own businesses, which can generate income to support their operations.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 8, which emphasizes promoting decent work and economic growth, Future Fit targets Goal 8’s sixth objective of promoting youth employment, education, and training. The project will collaborate with participating orphanages, offering training in various practical skills, such as key holder making, bag making, necklace and bracelet making, knitting, and recycling.
