On the 30th of October, 2021 around 9am, we began our journey to Nsawam to launch our 1st Anniversary Celebration with the children of Eye of the Lord Orphanage, Nsawam.
The journey to the location was quite stressful as it was long and had several obstacles.
At a point, we had to create our own road by getting blocks from a nearby block factory to fill a drain so our bus could pass over.
We arrived at the Eye of the Lord Orphanage, met wonderful kids and had so much fun.
The owner of the Orphanage, Mr. Darko who is visually impaired didn’t allow his disability to prevent him from helping the less privileged. He told us he and his wife Madam Mary Kwesebea, on 12th September 2010 started this orphanage with eleven children in an uncompleted building at Otoase in Ayensuano district eastern region.
By the grace of God and with media exposure, they later moved from Otoase to Nsawam Dzatsui Newtown. The orphanage now has a 6 unit classroom block, dormitory, toilet facilities. it also has a computer lab, a library and a summer hat which are currently under construction.
The orphanage has 15 teaching and unteaching staffs and 62 children 28 girls and 34 boys.
Currently they are in need of books and furniture for their newly built library and also need aid to maintain their classrooms and dormitories.

It was a delight Spending time with these wonderful kids, sharing our knowledge and experience with them was worth it.
